Re-reading again

Hong Kong, September 2015

[Hand, collar bone]

As i said before, i have been re-reading books these few months. Today I just finished Nowegian Wood. This is the 3rd time. Initially I thought I didn't like this book as much as I used to, but as reading it page by page, I found that my favorite parts have switched but my liking of this book is more than ever. Before Norwegian Wood, I had re-read another book by Haruki Murakami, Zatsubun-Shu (雜文集 generally means "collection of miscellaneous work". Sadly this book doesn't have an English version. There is one chapter about jazz music which i skipped.) Zatsubun-Shu is a collection of articles he wrote for various occasions, e.g. magazine, speech and prologue. In which he had mentioned some pieces of fact about himself, e.g. born in kyoto, studied drama in tokyo, not found of university life, strongly influenced by western literature and music, had his first job at a record store... Norwegian Woods is a novel about an uncle whose name is Toru Watanabe talking about his long lost youth, first published in 1987. There are quite a lot of similarities between the background of these 2 guys. But actually at the epilogue of NW he said this book is very "personal/autobiographical". Sadly there is no epilogue for the English version I have.

A boring morning

Wan Chai, Central and Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, September 2015

It was a sleepy morning. Everywhere was dusty and noisy, like always. At this moment, Admiralty station is still crowded, like always.

Goldfish from Mongkok

Mong Kok, Hong Kong, March 2014

The afternoon of 2 days ago, I saved a goldfish from a capsule toy machine in Mongkok. Then we went for a cup of tea.
